About Blast Room System

1. Workpiece is placed inside the room

• Large or heavy parts (steel plates, pipes, structures) are moved into the blast room

• Doors are sealed to contain dust and abrasive

2. Abrasive blasting starts

• An operator uses a blast nozzle

• Abrasive media (steel shot, grit, sand, garnet, etc.) is blasted at high pressure

• This removes:

  • Rust

  • Paint

  • Scale

  • Dirt

3. Abrasive hits surface and falls to the floor

• Used abrasive and debris drop to the blast room floor

• Floor is designed to collect and recover abrasive

4. Abrasive recovery system

Depending on the system type:

• Mechanical scraper

• Screw conveyor

• Pneumatic vacuum

This system:

• Collects used abrasive

• Separates reusable media from dust and waste

• Sends clean abrasive back to the storage hopper

5. Dust collection & air cleaning

• Dust is pulled out by a dust collector

• Filters remove fine particles

• Clean air is released back into the environment

This keeps:

• Visibility clear

• Operator safe

• Room compliant with safety rules

6. Recycled abrasive reused

• Cleaned abrasive is reused for blasting

• Saves cost and reduces waste
