An Industrial Hanger Shot Blasting Machine (also called a monorail or hook-type shot blasting machine) is used to clean, descale, and prepare metal surfaces such as castings, forgings, welded structures, and fabricated parts. It removes rust, scale, sand, and old coatings using high-speed steel shots.

1 Basic Working Principle

The machine works on the principle of abrasive blasting. Small steel balls (called shots) are thrown at high speed onto the metal surface to clean it.

3 Step-by-Step Working Process

Step 1 Loading

• Metal components are hung on the hook/hanger.

• The hanger moves into the blasting chamber.

Step 2 Door Closing

• Chamber door closes automatically.

• Safety interlock ensures blasting cannot start if the door is open.

Step 3 Blasting

• Blast wheels start rotating.

• Steel shots are thrown at high velocity (6080 m/s).

• Rust, scale, sand, and paint are removed.

Step 4 Rotation of Hanger

• The hook rotates slowly.

• Ensures uniform cleaning on all sides.

Step 5 Shot Collection

• Used shots fall to the hopper at the bottom.

• Screw conveyor sends them to the bucket elevator.

Step 6 Shot Cleaning

• Separator removes dust and broken abrasives.

Step 7 Reuse

• Clean shots return to the blast wheel for reuse.

Step 8 Unloading

• Blasting stops.

• Door opens.

• Cleaned parts are removed.
